Poems

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, Robert Frost

We are the music makers,

And we are the dreamers of dreams,

Wandering by lone sea-breakers,

And sitting by desolate stream;

World-losers and world-forsakers,

On whom the pale moon gleams:

Yet we are the movers and shakers

Of the world forever, it seems.

Ode, Aurthur William Edgar O’ Shaughnessy

and if a kid breaks in school

and no one around chooses to hear

do they make a sound?

or are they just the background noise

of a soundtrack stuck on repeat

when people say things like

kids can be cruel?

To this day, Shane Koyczan
